Showing Leah the sights.

We started the day off by feeding Leah oranges and grapefruit right off the trees for breakfast. Then we hopped in the car and drove to Emerald Desert RV park where Coreen lives. Leah met BooBoo. She thinks the dog looks like an Ewok from Star Wars.

Drove to El Paseo street, a very ritzy area like Rodeo Drive in LA. Lots of high end shops (that didn't look too busy). We had lunch at an outdoor patio restaurant and watched all the expensive cars go by: Lexus, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Bentley, Porsche, Jaguar, Rolls Royce, etc. (I don't imagine anyone looked at us and said.... Wow look at that gorgeous Opera Red Passat drive by!!)

Then we drove out of the city to show Leah the desert. We checked out a lot of desert plants. Leah and Don had to explore up the rocky terrain; each looking for the best photo opportunity! We drove up out of the valley to about 4700feet where we began to see pine trees. Hence the name of the highway - Pine to Palm Hwy.

To end our day, Leah and I had a pedicure. Don cooked us a wonderful salmon steak and corn on the cob supper. We headed out to the hot tub and now everyone is ready to crash!!
