What a wonderful resort town! The street lights charm you as you window-shop down the main street. No large chain stores just independent businesses and lots of art galleries and art shops. Marvelous!
The start of our evening at Coeur d'Alene was a play by the local amateur theatre group. They performed a two man production called K2. Donna, you would love to belong to this troupe! They put on 6 plays a year. They perform in a converted home with an attached theatre with raised seating.
The production we saw was about two men stranded in their decent of K2 due to an accident that leaves one man with a broken leg. It is rather intense! Amazingly, there is mountain climbing done on the set. Well crafted!! Reminded me slightly of our set for Wild Guys.
After the play we walked the main street to find a restaurant to eat at. We opted for an Italian place. We had an olive martini as an appetizer. It was hot and delicious! That was followed by zuppa for me and salad for Don. Uncle Waind would have enjoyed seeing the old Chevy truck in the restaurant.
Coeur d'Alene is a must see if you are ever in the Idaho panhandle!!
Ah...raised seats. Very nice. What is the history behind the truck in the restaurant? It seems a little overpowering in the photo.
