Thursday nights the city of Palm Springs hosts a street festival on Palm Canyon Drive, the main street. There had to be over 100 venders! Lots of food venders. We had gyros and then dessert crepes. Yummy!!
Many vendors were selling local dried fruits and nuts. Medjool dates are in season and are huge, sweet and meaty. We seem to buy mostly produce at these street shops but there are many other things for sale. The is a lot of jewelry, clothes, art, etc. Very interesting!
Down town Palm Springs also displays a large statue of Marilyn Monroe. Of course they have her in her famous dress blowing pose. It was very impressive seen lit up at night.
