Monday Massage

Leah and I went out for a bike ride so she could get to know the area. We biked a couple of miles to a pool supply store to pick up a water bottle for testing the quality of the spa water. Yes!  The spa is finally running!  (Although it seems the heater isn't working. Sigh.  Anyone want to jump in at 70F?)

Our neighbour, Wendy, joined Leah and I for massages at SWIHA (South West Institute for Healing Arts). It is a college that teaches a variety of new-age healing techniques - reike, cranio-sacral, reflexology, polarity, etc. and the most common technique, massage. We each had an hour long massage. Wonderful!  I finally can turn my head/neck again!  I seem to get so tight in the shoulders and neck.

On the way home we stopped at an ethnic (mainly Indian and Greek) restaurant supply store that Wendy wanted to show us, Haji Baba. Wow!  Lots of interesting spices, meats, and canned goods. Leah and I picked out ingredients to make gyros.

When Don returned from golf the three of us went to Home Depot (oh no! Not the orange store Daddy!) to buy baseboards. We rented a truck from them to get the baseboards home and while we had it we drove to Costco, got a membership, and bought a set of patio furniture. We are definitely getting set to use our backyard. Now we need a day off to relax back there!!

Yay!  The spa is running.  All the jets and plumbing work.
Need to get the electrician to check the heater - no heat yet!

(BTW - the red ring is tape, not our tiles!
The cement guy has to add the non-slip surface to the spa deck.)

The loungers of the patio furniture set come with ottomans.  Very comfy!!

The coffee table is heavy because of the tiles on the top.
