Touring with Daniel and Danielle

Two good friends, Daniel and Danielle, whom we met through the Canadian seed growers Association, picked us up in Quebec City and we began a three day tour together.

We started our tour by visiting Montmorency Falls. These falls are 83 metres high whereas Niagara Falls are 30 metres lower. They are spectacular!!  We took a cable car up to the top of the falls and walked over the falls on a suspension bridge. Yes. I actually was able to do it!!

We drove further east until we came to Ste Anne de Beaupres. This area is famous for miracles and many disabled people make pilgrimages here in hopes of a cure. We walked through the cathedral there. It is very new and bright looking.

As we drove further east we could often see the St. Lawrence River. Gorgeous views!

We ate lunch and toured Baie St. Paul. It is a neat town with many artisan shops, boutiques and restaurants. This entire area is popular for Quebecers. They enjoy visiting this beautiful are to ski, snowshoe, hike, camp, etc.
