Truro and Bedford

Bid a fond farewell to Cape Breton Island today and drove to Truro, NS. Headed downtown to Victoria Park where there happened to be a musical family performing in a band shelter. Daughter played fiddle, dad guitar and Mom the electronic bagpipes, first time I have ever seen that instrument!

Had a scrumptious supper of BBQ salmon with Sylvia and Pat in Bedford, suburb of Halifax. Met their children: Chris, Chad and Alison. Great conversations on their gorgeous and shady deck.

Don drove me to West Jeddore where I am taking an intermediate spinning course at the Spinners Loft tomorrow. This area on the Eastern Shore is very quiet. The coastline is etched with inlets and harbours creating miles of coastline.

Celtic music at th4e Victoria Beach band stand in Truro.

Mom plays the electric bag pipes!

Don chatting with the young fiddler.

Sylvia and Pat are great hosts at their home in Bedford.

The gorgeous island view out of Leslie's porch near West Jeddore on the Eastern Shore.
