Marj won second place for her wearable art - Urban Lights Jacket. A gorgeous car coat length jacket with a modern look. I love it. (As a matter of fact, I'm the one modelling it in the picture.)
Coreen and I won first place in Original Design Realistic Pictorial Wall-quilts! Our quilt, Seringetti Moment, Depicts a male lion overlooking the Seringetti Plains, with images of other African animals quilted in the skyline. We used many quilting techniques - strip piecing, raw edge appliqué, thread painting and needle felting of hand-dyed wool roving.
