Prairie Wind Music Festival

The wind was blowing across the prairie and over the grassy grounds in Cypress River where the aptly named Prairie Wind Music Festival was held. Many wonderful bands played 45 minute sets followed by 15 minute sets by a local or up and coming artist. This kept the music flowing non-stop!

Some venders were in attendance too - jewelry, bedding plants, paintings, hand carved bowls, spices, honey, etc.  Various food available too - corn on the cob with many toppings, canteen, beer garden and an entire pig roasted all day long for supper. Yummy!

I demonstrated spinning. Two adults and many kids tried their hand at the craft. All agreed that it was harder than it looked.  Thanks to Beth I had an extra pair of hands.  I packed up after supper. The sun and wind exhausted me. I'm sure they evening bands were awesome. Great fun!

Bethanies's youngest loved flying his kite!

Ginette's girl was selling cakes.

More and more people dropped in as the day wore on.

Lots of visiting and toe tapping to the great music.

Teaching kids to spin.  One little girl was on my lap.

She just couldn't get enough.  She kept coming back over and over.
