Tweed and Linen Fibre Art Piece
The Guildhall Exhibition in Derry had a show focusing on the People in Ireland during the Plantation of Scots Era. The one piece that caught my attention was fibre art, of course.
The artist created a piece using tweed and linen. The tweed is pieced to create a background to represent hills, green farm land and waterways. The appliqués linen pieces are painted and represent the people during the Plantation Era.
