Black Cab Tour

We took a 'Black Cab Tour' in a grey van!!  This tour is famous in Belfast for understanding 'The Troubles' in Ireland's recent history. The political murals of the Falls and Shankill tell their own graphic story. We toured this area with Steven, who was born in 1964 and lived thru the unrest of this period and had to flee from his own home as a young child. He was a great tour guide.

Our last stop was at the peace wall were we signed our names. I hope resolution to these past troubled times continues in Ireland. It is amazing to see how much peace has already been achieved in such a short period of time. (Peace was declared in 1998.)

  1. Nice collection of images, Ireland has been called the `Emerald Isle’- and with good reason too.
