Mesa, Arizona

Said our goodbyes to our friends Russ and Coreen, dropped Lila and Murray off at a hotel for their last night before heading back to Manitoba and headed off east.

There was really nothing, including cross roads as we traveled east on I10. We stopped at a town called Quartzite. They are known for their street fair stalls. I bought some beads. There are many stalls that sell beads, stones, fossils etc. It seems to be a beaders paradise. We had a burrito at a Mexican food stall. Interesting garbage can there. Very appetizing!!

The desert changed as we crossed the border into Arizona. The ground cover is a darker rock and we began to see saguaro cactuses. (Think of very large cactuses with arms growing off them).

Arrived at our new location, Mesa Dunes, we're we are renting a mobile from some friends. It feels good to be settled again. I will scout the park out tomorrow.

Don looking at fossils that have been polished and are for sale.
