Drove out to Desert Hot Springs to visit with Georgette and Harold. Mike was out for a few days so we got to visit him too. They have their motor home parked at Caliente RV Park.
We visited the RV Park's recreation centre where there are various pools with hot springs water. The water comes out of the ground at 140F and is mixed with cool water to get the right temperature for each of the pools.
We also were able to see a hummingbird nesting on a palm tree next to the office. When the bird flew away we looked inside the nest. The eggs were hatching and there were tiny baby birds inside!!
After visiting the Gillis' we drove to Palm Springs where Lila picked up a palm tree charm for her Pandora bracelet. The main street in Palm Springs was really hopping. We enjoyed window shopping and eventually chose a restaurant for supper. For dessert we stopped at Ben and Jerry's for ice cream!
