A short drive south of Lunenburg brought us to Hirtle Beach which led us to the trail head for Gaff Point Trail. The day was glorious and sunny. We approached the beach to hear the smashing of waves into the shore. We walked along the beach, no easy feat, as the rounded rocks were tricky to walk on without slipping.
Gaff Point Trail was spectacular! The waves were smashing into the rocks. The entire hike is only supposed to take about two hours. We spent five hours there! The scenery was breathtaking. One of the best hikes ever!!
