Broken Arrow Hike

With an application of moleskin on my blisters we headed off for our second day hike on Broken Arrow Trail. At the beginning of the trail we again came upon a sinkhole, this one named the Devils Dining Room. We continued on and came upon flat red rock for walking and also used by jeeps. On we walked and saw Submarine Rock in the distance. 

We continued our climb to Chicken Rock. I thought it might be named for its shape (like a chicken?), but no, it is for playing chicken....  A high rock that slopes off to a free fall of many feet!!

On the return from Chicken Point we decided to take Hog Heaven trail, which is also a mountain biking path. Wow!!  I couldn't imagine doing that!!  Yikes. This path was a gorgeous walk tho. Lots of red rock as usual, but some of these rocks had fallen recently as evidenced by a dead tree or two caught in the boulders path.
