Whyte Museum

Viewed the exhibits in the Whyte Museum. The camera obscura exhibit was very intriguing. The artist, Colin Smith, uses his Boler camper to view scenes thru the windows while projecting images from the camera obscura onto the inside walls of the camper producing very interesting images.

Camera obscura simply means a camera made of a dark box. Using a pin hole in a box an image can be produced. The image is upside down. Notice the images of a canola field thru the window of the Boler trailer a right side up, but those projected on the walls that include a grain elevator are upside down.
