Don and I met Donna and Craig at the New Orleans airport and traveled to our hotel, the Bourbon Orleans, in the French Quarter. Once we got checked in we decided to go for a walk. After almost 4 hours we made it down Royal Street to Canal Ave and down Bourbon Street and back to our hotel.
The streets are very busy! Full of traffic and people. Royal Street was blocked off to cars so there were a lot of buskers. Great music and a juggling act. We had some appetizers - fried gator, crayfish cakes, gumbo and catfish. And so begins a week of too much eating and drinking!!
