A day spent quilting with friends is better than chocolate! But if you're really lucky the friend's husband will make chocolates for the quilting gang. Thank you Norbert for the chocolate covered cherries!!
I finished a group quilt gift. Each of us in the JR&FQ2 quilt group stitched an 8 inch block. The colour had to blend with browns but the block pattern was our own choice. I took the 15 blocks, added sashing and border fabrics, quilted it on the long arm and binded it. Now it is ready to be given away. You'll have to wait to see who we have made it for..... Also, shown here is a donation quilt. I finally got it quilted. It will go to Security Blanket Providers in Brandon that supplies Women's shelters all over Southern Manitoba. Sad to say, the shelters will probably have many visitors over the upcoming holidays.
