Friday Night Artist Presentations

A fun video on dyeing was presented by Robin and Judy to start off the evening of five artist presentations. They dyed cotton lawn and Rayon velvet using a low immersion dyeing method with Procion dyes. Robin has taken many dyeing classes by Carol Sudorland and Anne Johnson. Gorgeous dyed fabric results. 

Janet from Oliver area showed photos of her husband orchids, that are his passion. She has taken many Mawai courses. 

Abstract and modern quilt fibre artist, Terry, states her goals publically on her blog to ensure she is held accountable for them. This year her goals are: to make a collaborative piece with her sister, have a joint show with Judy, and move towards more abstract work. 

Diana showed some of her works. (Unfortunately my camera was still not working.). She has a fabulous felted piece in Canadiana!!

To finish off the evening, I presented, focusing on my goal of creating more stylized work. I showed Mt Lemmon, Peggy's Cove, Bow Falls and Mysterious Thinking.
