The drive from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon was very leisurely. About an hour and a half on a newly paved highway. But when we got within a mile of the park gate we met up with the masses. Long lineups awaited us to enter the park, but once we were in, the crowds didn't seem as bad, however, it was the most people I had ever encountered in my three visits.
We walked the Canyon Rim and looked out at Mather Point. We drove to the village area and tried to get out to walk to the studio area, but there was no parking. Next time.
