First day on the Road Home with Connie

We finally got on the road about noon after closing up the house and stopping for a last farewell with the neighbours and MaDonna.

First stop was the rest station at Sunset View Point where we ate a bag lunch. Then we drove thru Sedona. We stopped a couple of times to get out and look at the gorgeous red rocks!  Then we took route 89A through Oak Creek Canyon. Lots if twists and turns on this scenic road. We stopped when we got to the top. Elevation 6400 feet;  Sedona 4000 feet. It really is a climb up that road!!

The traffic is crazy busy and tourist locations are packed. It wasn't such a good idea to be hitting tourist places owner the Easter weekend. Sigh.

We arrived in Flagstaff and are staying at a Budget Inn. Not many amenities, but clean and comfy beds.
