Wave Tour Day Two

We got off to a late start, as we took the time to enjoy the suite for a pj coffee time, followed by breakfast in the Seagulls Restaurant where we were able to watch strong waves crash into the beach as we ate our breakfast. Much cooler today!

We did some stops in Gimli - Turgason's, Gimli Art Gallery and the Mermaids Kiss. Here I was able to find some of Heather Lairs works of art. They are so gorgeous! I would love to own one of her quilted wall hangings, but since her death this summer all her art has increased to over $2000 a piece. Too bad she had not received that when she was alive! I did buy a purse made out of a suit jacket that she created. I will remember her fondly as I wear it!!

We stopped at Norm's Mirror Images where we saw his art, had coffee and a muffin while Shirley visited. (Norm Is a colleague, Victoria's, brother.)  He had the largest sunflowers, Russian Giants, in his garden that I have ever seen!  On to a glass studio that is located near a creek and had a unique back yard.

Creature Comforts Cottage was a unique fibre stop where we enjoyed viewing sheep, llama, alpaca, goats, bunnies and chicks! In the studio we got to touch some of all the various fibres. Angora bunny fibre is amazingly soft!!

Nearing the end of our energy we stopped at the Irish Otter to have a sandwich and carrot cake. Here we were entertained by the local musician jam session playing folk songs - fiddle, guitar, bohdran drum, penny whistle, etc.   Great toe tapping!

Heather Lair's wall quilt and shoulder bag.

Llama munching away!

Angora goats!

Glass Studio - unleaded fused to glass stained glass.

Coffee time.

I guess we were looking a little fatigued!!
Are we having fun yet?
