San Francisco City Tour

Crossed over the Golden Gate bridge into San Francisco this morning. We climbed on some old WWII battlements to enjoy the view. Then we took a city tour bus and were able to stop and go at our leisure.

We saw many of SFs notable highlights - sea lions at Pier 39, curvy street on Lombard Ave, fisherman's wharf, Union Street shops, etc. Check out the photos!!

As you can see we finally got a sunny day. We really appreciated the warmth of the sun And even then we had to bundle up to ride the open top deck of the sight-seeing bus.

The seals were putting on a show at Pier 39. There were about 40 seals on a dozen floating docks. Most were enjoying the sun, but some of the 'teenagers' were playing 'King of the Mountain' and pushing each other off. Reminded me of the boys playing on the floating dock at Cuddy's cottage.

Don and I each took a turn driving down the curvy Lombard Street. It is amazing how steep some of these streets are! That same street has a mirror for you to see if traffic is coming from your left as they have the right of way. Wouldn't want to try driving here if it was icy!
