Mesa Deck

We enjoy our patio deck every day. Of course, if it is sunny and warm we sit out there. In the evenings we often sit in the hot tub and enjoy looking at the stars. 

Even when it is raining or cool out, we can sit inside the house and look out thru the patio doors. Wonderfully relaxing!

The other morning, after some rain a flock of quail pranced over our deck enjoying seeds and bugs. They are such entertaining birds with their head plume. 

For some amazing reason, a tomato that we planted last year was able to withstand the AZ summer sun and has fruit on it again!  I've never had that happen in Canada!  (A tomato plant survive the winter.). Last year we had to fight the curve billed thrashers to get a ripe tomato before it got holes pecked in it. We will have to keep an eye on them this year. A couple are almost ready to eat.
