Cold start to the Grand Canyon

We woke to a frosty morning in Monticello, but the sun warmed things up as we travelled.

We stopped at a Navajo roadside stand to view the Little Colorado River and check out the crafts for sale. Then on to the Grand Canyon. Amazing views!

Shannon drove the last leg from the Grand Canyon to Mesa. Most of that drive is downhill and very curvy with a speed max of 75 mph.  It feels way to fast for the road conditions and yet people drive even faster than that!!

We arrived to the Mesa house in one piece. Don cooked a wonderful supper for us (grilled steelhead trout) and we jumped in the hot tub. Whew!  A lovely end to a busy four day road trip!!
