Update on Dad

Another beautiful day for November. Mom and I have been able to walk to the hospital everyday (5 days now). It is only 3 blocks from the Norwood Hotel. Very handy.

Dad is still in step down. He never did get switched to the regular ward. He is doing very well - off oxygen, dressings off his incisions, eating all food at mealtime, walking a lot, reading and sleeping. We aren't exactly sure why he wasn't discharged this morning and are hopeful he will be discharged tomorrow (Sunday).

Dad is anxious to get home to his own clothes and bed. He is rather stiff and achy from sleeping on the hospital bed. That may have aggravated his hip which he has had a bit of trouble with over the years.

Mom and I got out visiting today. It was lots of fun to see my niece Keri, Dave and their little girl Kate. She kept us laughing. She is so cute. I finally got to give her the baby quilt i made her. Got some great photos of her sitting on it! Cindy and Ayrianna were there too. It was great to see the two cute great nieces.

Then we also visited with Leah at her apartment. Matt the cat is staying with Leah right now. Matt doesn't like to play with Leah's young cat, Monkey, so he climbs to the tallest place he can find to avoid him. See where he goes? crazy cat.

A big Thanks to my sister-in-law Yvonne who drove us around visiting today and shopping yesterday!!
