Destruction Begins!

The reflooring is beginning today. Alfonso and a worker arrived at the house and began taking out the old tile. What a noisy job! Neither men had on masks or ear plugs! Not very good protection!

Don and I wandered through Home Depot to check out sinks and faucets. I love the new kitchen sink we chose. It has very clean lines and a recessed plug with no metal bands to collect junk. It should be very easy to keep clean. The kitchen faucet will require only one hole ground out of the granite counter top. It is very sleek looking also, and will be easy to keep clean.

The three bathroom faucets we haven't totally decided on. It is between two different models. The debate is whether to chose the one leaver faucet or the kind with two levers for hot and cold. What are the pros and cons?

Benenicio, lifting the old tile.  He used a jack hammer type tool, but no ear, eye or nose protection!!??
I gave him heck, but he just smiled and said he was tough.

New sink.  Notice the 'perfect drain' - no ring around the edge to collect grime!

Selection of faucets we like.
Note - do not call them taps, as Americans have no idea what you are talking about!
