Pontoon Boating

Saturday was the most gorgeous day we have had in Arizona. The perfect day for renting a pontoon boat and touring on Saguaro Lake. We gathered up a total of five couples (Lees, Gibsons, Bowlers, Earles and us) and toured for the day. Temperature was in the low 80F. Marvelous!!

Saguaro lake is actually a man made lake from the damming of the Salt River to use to generate electricity. The result is one large open lake area with one arm winding northward. This lake ultimately connects with Canyon Lake that we visited three weeks ago. But you can not boat from Saguaro Lake to Canyon Lake because of the dams. Both lake areas are very popular recreational facilities. Otherwise there would be no water to play on in the desert!!
