Glenvaugh National Park

Glenvaugh National Park lies in the heart of Derryvaugh Mountains in northwest county Donegal. It is remote and a hauntingly beautiful wilderness. The park covers 40,000 acres with Glenvaugh Castle and Gardens at the heart of the park.

The castle was built by John Adair who evicted over 224 tenants from homes as they were spoiling his view!!

Don and I walked thru the gardens and up to a high viewpoint above the castle. Then we had tea at the castle.  Seems that Bonnie Charlie and his gal were here earlier in the month!!
