Sashiko class

Learned to do an ancient Japanese form of embroidery called Sashiko. Originally it was used to patch work clothes, hence normally done in light thread on indigo colored cloth.

We learned to do this Sashiko embroidery using our sewing machine. First we traced the pattern onto dark fabric with chalk. Then we stitched using thick, light colored thread.
