We took the bus and train to the Stampede grounds. Watched a free show called Tails at arena. It was marvelous! A legend about three horses and the beginning of the stampede 100 years ago. Emcee was Tom Jackson! Included aboriginal dancers, hoop dancer, many live horses, cattle, etc. and even two buffalo. Amazing!
The girls went to the midway while Erin and I went to see the art exhibitions. Saw quilts, photography, craft work, etc. The Calgary Craft Guild were displaying rug hooking, an old craft that is being revived. One that I am interested in learning about. How serendipitous! See photos.
