Step 1
Draw a creative design on the dull side of freezer paper. Cut freezer paper into the basic shapes that you have numbered. Iron freezer paper to right side of material you want to create your design in.
Step 4
Bind the art quilt and include a hanging sleeve.

Draw a creative design on the dull side of freezer paper. Cut freezer paper into the basic shapes that you have numbered. Iron freezer paper to right side of material you want to create your design in.
Step 2
Applique all pieces (using your favorite applique technique) together on tear-away stabilizer. Then add thread decorating. Once that is complete, tear away the stabilizer.
Step 3
Now you have the top of your art quilt. Square it up. Sandwich it with batting and backing fabric. Quilt in the background areas and around design segments.
Step 4
Bind the art quilt and include a hanging sleeve.
Step 5
All ready to hang.
