What to do for a sore wrist?

Go to the doctor? That would take a long time and you would probably be told to just rest it. Or the doctor may tell you to go to the hospital physiotherapist - another long wait. So the best option seemed to be to go to the walk in physiotherapy clinic in Treherne.

You know you are old when the physiotherapist is a previous student. You hope she remembers what you taught her in biology years ago!

Joanne discovered that one of the eight small carsal bones in my wrist is out of place. It has moved up. She massaged and applied pressure to the bone (slightly painful), and massaged the arm up to the elbow. Then she applied ultra sound waves which help the area heal by causing gas exchange at a cellular level. Lastly she did acupuncture. Interesting sensation seeing ultra fine needles go into your arm, but not hurt.
