Then a quick walk from the restaurant and we were overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir. Gorgeous area set aside by the city. Also where Heritage Park is located.

Swift Current to Calgary
A gorgeous sunny drive to Calgary today. We couldn't seem to get a good cup of coffee all day but had a wonderful supper out with Erin, Rianon and Brenwyn.

Swift Current
Our driving trip to Lac le Jeune, BC for the annual Fibre Art Network (FAN) retreat has begun. Yvonne and I left Treherne this morning. We traveled west in rain and mist. Stopped for lunch in Wolseley, SK. Started to see pockets of sunshine, finally enough to see enough blue to form a Dutchman's pants, as we neared Moose Jaw. Booked into the Best Western in Swift Current. Ended up getting a suite at regular room cost! Gotta love off season travels!

Daly Museum
Theresa and I toured the Daly Museum in Brandon. Mainly we wanted to see the quilt exhibit put together to celebrate Canada 150. I was particularly taken by two heritage quilts. One was a crazy quilt and the other was a tumbling blocks quilt made from old silk ties.
Delta Beach
Toured Delta Beach with Mom and Dad and Connie. We walked a little marsh trail to get to one of the marsh lakes. The reeds are extremely tall when you are amung them!!

Pow Wow Images
I received permission from my friend Megan to use some of her photos from a recent PowWow in our area. I chose three men in their regalia. I painted them realistically but blurred out one area on each of them. Two of them are taking shape as you can see here.
